Jose Aldo Is Winning His 10-Year Challenge

At UFC Fortaleza, Jose Aldo defeated Renato Moicano by second-round TKO. It’s his second stoppage in as many fights. The last time Aldo had back-to-back stoppage wins? 2009. It was WEC 41 and WEC 44. He stopped Cub Swanson and then-champion Mike Brown to become the WEC featherweight champion. If UFC Fortaleza means anything, it’s a reminder of how exceptional Aldo is and how much the MMA community forgot about it after suffering setbacks against Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.

  1. Ever since McGregor beat him Aldo has fought with a new style. And I love it he's a lot more exciting than when he was champ. Now he fights pissed off and goes for the knockouts

  2. Jose Aldo is only 32 years old. Conor McGregor is 30, and Jon Jones is 31. Aldo is not some old dinosaur facing extinction.
The problem with Aldo is not his body, but his psychology. He is tired of the grind. He has been fighting the best of the best for over 10 years.
He has lost that "young lion trying to take over the pride" hunger, and now he just wants to take it easy. Honestly, I believe that the only reason Aldo is still fighting is to keep his coaches employed. If Aldo had made "fighting Floyd Mayweather" money, I don't think he would be still be fighting. He would have given Dede a nice retirement package, and called it quits. The dude is fighting when he doesn't want to, to put some money in Dede's pockets.

  3. You should put Aldo or whatever the subject is of your video in the thumbnail.

  4. "Conor McGregor on one of the greatest runs in MMA history" this is a bit of an exaggeration. Aldo was undefeated for ten years, nine title defenses, 17 fight win streak that's one of the best runs in mma history. Conor beat: Marcus Brimage a guy who lost tuf, Diego Brandoa a guy who barley won tuf who isn't even in the UFC anymore, Max Holloway who wasn't that good at the time, Dustin Porier a solid win over a contender, Dennis Seaver the guy who for some reason was ranked 5 even though he was previously ranked 15, Chas Mendes one of the best fighters in the division who took the fight on short notice, and Aldo the pound for pound best fighter. Then he lost to Diaz and barely won the rematch.
