Jose Aldo Is Winning His 10-Year Challenge

At UFC Fortaleza, Jose Aldo defeated Renato Moicano by second-round TKO. It’s his second stoppage in as many fights. The last time Aldo had back-to-back stoppage wins? 2009. It was WEC 41 and WEC 44. He stopped Cub Swanson and then-champion Mike Brown to become the WEC featherweight champion. If UFC Fortaleza means anything, it’s a reminder of how exceptional Aldo is and how much the MMA community forgot about it after suffering setbacks against Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.

  1. Hope Anderson wins too. I had flashbacks of the old mma days with aldos performance

  2. I believe Aldo’s plan for 3 fights, all 3 rounders, to finish his storied career this year is a fantastic decision that other top fighters should emulate as they near retirement. Aldo gets to display such class in skill, as he is still close enough to his prime, and on the mic and interviews, thereby enabling him to pick opponents without resorting to fake or crass trash talking. Much love and respect to Aldo.

  3. @luke, after the max Holloway losses Aldo started to train boxing with Robert Garcia at his gym. There's plenty of footage of that in ELi seco Back channel. Maybe there is where he sharped his liver shot.
