The UFC isn't going to let GSP fight Khabib because the UFC knows GSP has a great chance at beating Khabib and they don't want a repeat of GSP taking out Bisping and then leaving the middleweight division. They don't want GSP to take out one of their biggest stars and then retiring after.
Lol I was thinking it was a ploy as well. I mean it’s smart, it gets people talking about the fight and it gives him leverage with the UFC by showing he’s fine with walking away from the sport and being done if he doesn’t get the Khabib fight. Ben askren did something similar where he said he was retiring unless he got a fight with GSP or Khabib or possibly if he got in the UFC and it helped him gain sooo much attention and is probably what helped him to end up getting signed by the UFC.I mean it only makes sense, literally nothing else has changed or happened for him to suddenly make this “retirement” announcement now besides hoping to get this fight.
George wants to hold 3 belts. That will seal the deal for his legacy. He's playing it smart, if khabib wanted the fight bad enough he could easily come up in weight. But thats not the case, because gsp wants to hold 3 belts. Its all about playing it smart!

Obviously the ufc is corrupt and always breaks the rules no matter who's next in line. Ufc shouldn't care about gsp winning & walking away because they do money fights. I believe this fight will happen in November but i can be wrong
