Remembering the life and career of “Mean” Gene Okerlund, who passed away last week at the age of 76. Tony Schiavone called him the greatest stick man in wrestling history. It’s hard to argue otherwise. Discussing his greatest moments, why he left WWE for WCW and Hulk Hogan paying tribute to him on Raw this week.

  1. Dude was the best, one of a damn kind. You wont find a dude better than him. Thank you Jesse for that name for Okerlund. I wished I could had called Mean Gene's hotline back in the day, but my mom would had a fit!! Lol. One love, RIP my man!!

  2. I remember when Hogan was the 3rd man for the NWO….Mean Gene sold his disgust for Hogan very well, he was so disappointed that he became a heel! Thank you Gene for all the memories! RIP

  3. And what interviewers do we have today? Dasha-bot…and people who just ask one stupid question about how they feel, where they proceed to stare dead-eyed at them before the wrestler walks off and the camera slowly zooms in on them.

  5. Truly it was a sad day. It was eerie for me as well Solomonster, watched the Andre The Giant HBO documentary, on New Year's Day, with Gene of course in it.
