  1. Truly a one of a kind character, rip Mean Gene you will be missed ❤

  2. Mean Gene was one of the main catalysts of that golden era of the wrestling. He was the father figure, he was the neutral voice of the talent, he was a legend. God damn, you know you're getting old when your heroes start being picked off.  RIP Gene, never will you be replaced.

  3. great video from the best channel on utube. I will never forget mean gene one of the best ever. I would always love ric flair saying " by God mean gene " thank you gene will be missed

  4. It's not that far fetched for Vince to do some greaseball grimey ass shit to use mean Gene's death for ratings or for Hogan seeing as how he has no problem using real life death or sicknesses on TV ie Roman, Paul bearer, Eddie Guerrero.

I would have been more receptive of this if it was a surprise at the beginning of the show and not advertised all over the place like it's a match. That just screams to me "ratings grab" .

A ten bell salute with ric flair and a surprise appearance by Hogan would have been welcome.

But this just screams ratings grab. I'll be right with you crying like a bitch tomorrow and I'll cheer Hogan depending on what he says, but let this be the end of Hogan on raw or smackdown. Well join him in saying Farewell to gene.

But I have a feeling that depending on the pop or reaction he gets tomorrow we'll be seeing him way more than need be
