  1. I had a '72 Gremlin X, 304 V8, Borg warner 3 speed on the floor with a 3.50 open differential. Loved that car. It met an untimely demise.

  2. Hilarious this episode – very enjoyable. Seems that the Gremlin was a fairly decent vehicle for basic transportation .. 🙂

  3. This is hilarious! I was in high school in the early 70s. These were everywhere. Pintos, Vegas, of course Bugs. The slingerland drum co. even wrapped their drums in denim. Heck, it was the 70s!!

  4. You didn't allow 3 blinks of your blinker before you changed lanes….

  5. My friend J.D. LeBlanc from Hamilton (steel town), Ontario won the compact class (I believe that was the classification) Canada wide Sky Dome (next to the CN Tower) year 2000 Demolition Derby in an AMC Gremlin. Derby Drivers sought them because they were made with heavier a gauge sheet metal (for sure) and frame (as well if I'm not mistaken?) than ANY other compact car on the road today.
So I noticed you made the remark about the solidity of the car when closing the hood…, well now you know why they felt so solid.

  6. Hi Jay. Brian from Canada. My first job when I was 16 was working in a Union 76 gas station. Still in high school. There was a small driving school called "Young Drivers" that used 4 Gremlins. And they all had the Levi's package. 258 six cyl, automatics. Every evening my job included cleaning and fuelling and checking the oil. They were kept at the station. Old days, EH!?
