  1. I recall the first Mini I ever laid eyes on. I was in my 56 Chevy, 327 4 speed. He flew by me and I was gonna teach him a lesson. He ran off and hid from me, I never saw him again.

  2. I'd love to see Jay do something with the 2019 Mini Clubman. (The "Cooper Works"version with the deluxe turbocharged engine.) It has all wheel drive, independent suspension, disc brakes all around, stiff suspension with dual sway bars, decent wheelbase, rear spoiler, decent power (228 HP) … and it's really nice looking, too.
I bet it could be a MONSTER with a few tweaks: Maybe pull the automatic tranny & drop in a Tremec. Tweak the engine a little further, add headers, roll bar, better seats, maybe C.F> trunk & hood…..

  3. 2.9 as a FD is nowhere near " long". Some left the factory with 2.76 as FD. Now if he used SC/CR gearbox, it can take quite a bit of time to pick up speed since the 1st gear can be pretty long but still with slipping if the clutch it is doable.

  4. 35:41 Look outside the garage door at the wall opposite just above the RS windshield post; Why is there a no cameras sign posted on that wall?

  5. Late to the show but what an excellent one. Nice to see someone who knows his stuff when it comes to Minis. Two “oldish” guys talking cars from the days of my youth. My first Mini was a ‘59 Austin Seven, that was followed by a ‘63 Cooper with a 1071cc. Oh boy who would have guessed all those years ago they would become so collectible, back then we drove them to death, junked them & moved onto something else. Big thanks to Graham for sharing his knowledge & enthusiasm for our Iconic Mini. Long may your happy childhood continue 👍🏻. One of the best episodes I’ve watched.

  6. You know what. I agree. People complain that I turn off the radio driving. Too bad so sad! Suck it up buttercup! I donno. I would rather hear the music of the engine and the subtle whine of the transmission. I just dont feel comfortable not being able to hear these things. What if there is some damage somewhere from like, oh lets say the oil leaking from the rear end. And you find a giant cloud of smoke poring from your wheel bearings or something. That would never happen if you didnt turn the stupid rackett box on. Especially with todays beep squeek music they make. No radio?…. Im with ya.
