Anthony Pettis vs. Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson Is Set

Anthony Pettis vs. Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson Is Set | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis is reportedly set to face Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson in late March at welterweight (170 pounds). Why would the former lightweight champion want to jump up a weight class against a natural welterweight who is still ranked at the top of the division? And why would Thompson risk a catastrophic loss against someone not in line for a title shot in his division? There are good reasons, actually. While I don’t necessarily love this fight, I do like it and in this video, I explain why.

  1. I love Pettis for doing the Justin Gaethje thing and fighting every fucking body. When you got such an action style you have to use it to the maximum potential. Hell, the two should fight too.

  2. I love it, most entertaining fight for your money! This better be the main event of the fight night. This is no different than any other super fight between weight classes this is just between 2 top contenders/former title holders. We should be hyping this fight up. What's the difference between this and Conor fighting Nate Diaz. GTFO here questioning this fight!

  3. why didn't you mention wonderboy's win over rory macdonald in that run he had? you suck at your job.

  4. You definitely can’t say Pettis tries to take the easier route. Think about his last 5 opponents… straight savages

  5. Wonder boy is going to strike Pettis ears off good God dont do this to Pettis
