For their 50th Anniversary of their “Rent a Racer” program, Hertz stops by the garage to show Jay their new 2016 special edition Ford Shelby GT-H and the original 1966 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350-H.

  2. Forgot to add one of the most durable cars ever made drive train wise anyway.Shelby was getting 24 hours of racing time on engines, almost unheard of. and from personal experience over 150 k of hard street miles with no major repairs.

  3. I, rented a 2007 Hertz Mustang convertible for 3 days it cost me $1100.00 dollars. I had to GO to the Indianapolis International airport. To get it! I read about the rent a Racer program in a magazine. So I wanted experience how it was back then. It was a awsome time. My wife drove me to the airport where the Hertz rental was. IT was in August and a really hot day. My wife did this for my 37 birthday. So it was a special gift. When we got there, a whole line of Hertz Mustang convertibles were sitting a row. Maybe ten all together. What a sight to be hold. All those rent a Racers just sitting there together! I took a picture of all them! I went the counter and told them I was there for the mustang. A person came out from behind the counter and took me to the lot. A man drove up and put the top down and left the driver side door open and lifted the trunk lid up. The car is still running and the exhaust note was awesome sounding .I looked the car over with the attendant and on the back was the Shelby name. My heart began to race. I looked at my wife and she said Happy birthday Shawn! I had waited all year after my wife had made reservations back in March for this day and it was coming true! Right before my eyes there it was a real Hertz 350H Shelby Mustang! After going over the car. I Left to follow my wife back home. I could not get the smile off my face for 3 whole days. Wow, What a experience and birthday. Shawn

  4. jay,…2 my knowledge the 1st series of events 4 the hertz,….was finding evidence[s] of roll bars that were welded in under the floormats 4 a weekend of racing….then they started getting sloppy,….in those days the mustang had a baked on alkyd enamel finish….u could use 1 shot enamel for lettering and then remove it with solvent or compound later…lazily they left traces in the paint…later on when the lopo motor that served the illusion 4 the engine heist blew up cause it couldnt take the revs from either leadfootin or the shelby,s gear…..the mechanics found….the switcherini….they switched all the shelby outers….stole the innards..

  5. When I was 15 my best friend's dad bought a new mustang. It was the coolest car ever! I still like their look.

  6. The 2016 is not a true Shelby Mustang. This car has a 5.0 The 2016 shelby gt350 comes with 5.2 flat plane crank that revs to 8250rpm and has 526hp.

  7. See when you sell your soul for fame and fortune to Satan you too can have all this" they don't tell you the truth directly but other tv well known people have. But there's a heavy price to pay Satan one he will come and collect in time your very soul. The word of god says what good is it if you gain the whole world and lose your soul.

  8. I work for Hertz at a local branch and it is the worst company that I have ever work for, they treat the employees at the branch level like Slaves.

  10. I think this guy knew more than Leno about mustangs! But then again, Leno couldn’t be that expert in each car. That guy probably had Mustang exclusive knowledge
