Who Should Max Holloway Fight at Lightweight? | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

After Max Holloway’s win over Brian Ortega at UFC 231, I believe he should stay at featherweight provided the weight cut is manageable. That said, interest in his participation at lightweight is at an all-time high. If he were to go 155lbs, who should he face: Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson or Khabib Nurmagomedov? I discussed this issue on my radio show.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. What did his concussion like symptoms stem from, did we ever find out? Anyway, who can beat this guy? Just like Nick Diaz said, those Hawaiian motherfickers are tough!

  2. If Max can make it to 145 and continue to be healthy, I'd rather that happen… Call me crazy but I prefer to see a champion stay in his division and run up a streak of defenses. Nowadays it's all interim titles, rematches, and champions talking about a 2nd belt as soon as they win the 1st one..

  3. Y’all ever heard of Dustin Porier? He beat Max too, that makes way more sense than a fight with Nate Diaz… like wtf are you even talking about Diaz for anyway?

  4. I know Tony deserves Khabib, but could you imagine a Tony vs Max fight right now? Seemingly endless gas tanks with forward pressure and world class toughness. Would be incredible.

  5. If dan hooker wins this weekend, he starts to creep into the conversation aswell
