  1. I am happy and amazed to see a common industrial process explained and demonstrated so well. The average person would never be exposed to this common manufacturing process and its relevance to quality production. Good work, Jay. Thank you for this video.
Vapor honing (vapor blasting) goes back 30 years at least, although this young man has his own version of it.

  2. Great tool, much better and cleaner than sand or media. BTW, I believe the carbs are Skinners Union SU, not Solex. As you know, SUs are mainly used on English cars and bikes, Solex is usually found on Bosch vehicles.

  3. plenty of comments on what will happen when the beads go through the carb into the engine. being that it is jay leno it is safe to think he is just demonstrating the machine on the outside of this carb. not likely that he is just worried about the outside of the carb. they would likely take the entire unit apart, blast it clean then rinse the entire carb. don't know anybody who sandblasts an item then just puts it back on the engine or trans or whatever they are working on. i know this is not sandblasting just comparing the 2 scenarios to make a point.

  4. Vapor Honing Is NOT a new technology , it was developed during WWII .

  5. Props to this dude for making a working tool in his garage and props to Jay for giving him a spot. Impressive cleaning.
