Bellator’s Paul Daley vs. MVP *NOT* in the UK? | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

Bellator has reportedly booked Michael ‘Venom’ Page vs. Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley for the quarterfinals of the welterweight grand prix. Generally speaking, this is great news. It’s part of a fantastic tournament, a competitive fight, true grudge match and so much more. The only problem is you’ll have two British fighters competing in Connecticut, not the United Kingdom. And even then, that’s not the worst problem to have, but when there’s pressure on fans to just accept that some of Bellator’s partners really wanted the fight stateside, there is a problem. Fans should be appreciative the fight is being made, but they’re not wrong to not subvert their interests to DAZN’s or the Mohegan Sun’s.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. I want to get Luke Thomas's haircut. What should I tell the barber?

  2. It's American Exceptionalism! What good is a historic UK grudge match if it doesn't happen here in the capital of the world? ….sarcasm…

  3. Tell me why I'm supposed to give a f…lol, love your bluntness. And yeah, bellator should be trying to get everything they can out of this fight for them, not their partners.

  4. They are missing an opening in the market, they should do everything they can to build their fan base in the UK, especially after BT lost the ufc contact to some shitty streaming service

  5. It's like Bellator doesn't want to succeed in the UK.Totally bizzare decision.

  6. MVP Vs Style Bender would be my fantasy fight especially if they both win their next fights.

  7. Speaking as a Brit. Fans here don't care too much about home grown fighters outside of McGregor, Bisping and Hardy. We just want big fights. Send DJ and the 125ers here and we would appreciate seeing top talent, homegrown or not. Maybe that's just here?
