Hey Joey are you driving, are you dating, what you driving ?
I used to watch these cars being made from my bedroom window! It might be a surprise to some, but the first Volvo P1800s were assembled by Jensen in the same factory. My boss had an Interceptor, and I got to drive it a few times – No radio or sound system required as there was a V8 Orchestra under the bonnet!
V8 power
My FAVORITE GT car of all time. As a kid in Oklahoma the neighbor's dad had a brown one. I lusted after this car until we moved away. Engineer that inspected my boat in Fairhaven, Mass got a 124 from Jay as a gift. We compared notes (500c Abarth, here.) Always good to talk cars and hear normal people have a normal conversation. Leno seems like a great guy.
Thank you for the ride in the In the Jensen Interceptor. Glad you mentioned the FF, as the stories about its cornering ability were legendary — until it let go all of a sudden that is!
Jay "either you get it or you don't" Leno
I sat in a Jensen Interceptor in London UK when I was 9 years old in 73. I remember playing with the radio, turning it on, the telescopic antenna on the right hand side when up and retracted when turned off. The owner was a successful London based solicitor , had the latest must have gadgets of the time eg NIKON F2A camera complete…..top of the range Grundig satellite radio, Revox reel to reel.
Ya its one of those cars i saw as a kid on TV of course. Since i knew it wasent American i figured it had a inline 6 or somthing English but hey its got a v-8 to match its looks. Every car should have that button !!!!
The best name ever for a car. Especially for a GT.
I used to see one of these around St. Louis (Clayton), Mo. when I was growing up. Awesome car. 👍🙂‼️
