  1. Thanks Jay for honoring Mr. Hill.
I had the honor of meeting Phil at a dinner party my uncle was hosting back in the late sixties….I was only 10 or 11 years old, but my uncle introduced me and explained that Mr. Hill was a famous race car driver. I was totally awestruck LOL as I was a great fan of racing. Slot cars were my only outlet for the racing bug at the time. I think my bug for racing was kindled by the fact that my dad and uncle (brothers) pursued amatuer rally racing as a hobby. My uncle had a Lotus Super 7 twin cam cosworth powered rocket…😊 And my Dad had a Triumph TR4A-IRS… that's the car I took my drivers test in!!! The CA DMV test referee was just a slosh teed off that he had to sit in a sports car to certify a teenager for driving privileges….I'm guessing he couldn't afford to purchase such a sweet car LOL
Your Packard is absolutely beautiful and I'm glad that you actually use it.
Great cars never deserve to be on blocks in a museum….they and their creators are only honored by the continued use and operation.
