Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show via Skype to discuss his reaction to Daniel Cormier vs. Derrick Lewis, the UFC 230 main event title fight. Miocic explains how frustrated he was watching the fight, saying that should have been him facing Cormier for the heavyweight title. Stipe also reacts to Cormier saying he was too good to fight him after just three weeks’ notice, saying it wasn’t a good reason to not take the fight. Miocic expresses how he is pulling for a rematch with Cormier, saying he “deserves a shot,” how is frustrated that it hasn’t happened yet and will be upset if he doesn’t get it. Stipe has no interest sitting down with the UFC because he says he has done it before and “it never worked.”

Bottomline is that DC cheated in that fight. He saw how Struve knocked out Stipe after an eye poke. So He kept eye poking Stipe till he got the KO. DC had to cheat to win.
It was always real hard to get behind Stipe when he was champ. It's near impossible now. His dickish aloofness and mumble mouth hasn't served him well. If your gonna go to war against the promotion you best have the fans behind you. His fans were more the belts fans. Remove the strap and you can hear crickets chirping.

Definitely not good what they've done to stipe but moaning and being real bitter towards everyone isnt gonna do him any good, like what others have said he should get back in there have a good win and put himself back in a position to challenge again, but on the other side of the coin stipe has 0 personality and likeability, we all know the ufc isnt run on ability alone you have to be entertaining also, if you have both like connor, john jones you cant ignore them, stipe falls well short on that aspect, so for me thats the reason his being overlooked, its all about money now and how many ppv's you can sell, imo stipe is dull asf so the numbers unfortunately for him aint there. But its wrong how the ufc have treated him he deserves his rematch
