Is Anderson Silva Being ‘Fed’ to Israel Adesanya? | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

At UFC 234, Anderson Silva will face Israel Adesanya in the co-main event. Silva, the former middleweight champion, believes he’ll get a title shot, but either winner could conceivably get it. The bigger point as raised by Ben Fowlkes in a MMA Junkie article is why this dynamic of young feasting on the old happens in combat sports. As I explain here, there’s simply no other way around it even in cases like Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo where both fighters are in their twenties.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. Depending on fight contracts?? Fight or retire or trade is the recent option?

  2. People are so delusional by writing off Anderson Silva. There is a big chance that he will win and I am gonna bet on him, and after that people will make all kind of excuses to justify their own biases

  3. Anderson hurts people that stand with him. People have short memory. Sure he is older but he almost koed bisping, but got saved be the bell only recently. Nobody has been able to dominate silva in standup. Dangerous fight for Isreal. He could get derailed by a guy that many people have written off unfairly in my opinion.

  4. Anderson Silva can kick Adensaya's butt
    thats for sure
I believe Silva is going to bring Adensaya bactk to reality and humble him

  5. One of the few things I always found distasteful about the sport. Not even the act of the young coming up and taking it, but the ignorant general fan, and often even the ego of the young fighter themselves that would have them speak as if they beat the legend in their prime.
