DC vs Jon Jones 3 is not about legacy, it’s about our selfish desire to see it again…

Daniel Cormier has stated that he had two fights left in his career before defending his belt against Derrick Lewis. at UFC 230. If we take him at his word it means he has one fight left. Chael Sonnen gives his thoughts on how DC finished his career on his You’re Welcome podcast.

  1. The elephant in the room is that DC wouldn't be the LHW championship, let alone the HW champion, of Jon Jones never Jon Jonesed .

  2. I strongly disagree. If Cormier beats Jones it cements him as the goat. If he doesn’t. Then he’s one of the goats. But will never be a unanimous Goat.

  3. well the brock fight got kinda weird..
DC himself said after his career he has the opportunity to make 'way more' money then during his fighting career..
so why chasing the brock fight if its not a money grab? its not like 'DC v JBJ III' would do similar numbers..

  4. So Jones' first USADA fail was before his second fight with DC that got canceled and the second USADA fail was after the second fight had happened. How come he never popped for PED's in any other instance except for when fighting DC? Probably a coincidence but an interesting one in that.

  5. Sure I wanna see the fight again. I thought DC was winning before that kick.
I think for DC, it surely is about legacy.
Although, Jon mentioning he wouldnt go up cause it gives DC all the cards.
I think he is smart with that…Imo DC wins over Jones at heavyweight.
The way I see it, Daniel was at a disavantage at 205, meaning he is better at heavy.
So I would like to see how Jon does when Daniel is at his best and Jon has to adapt instead the other way around.
If not for Cain DC never leaves heavyweight. He knew he feels more comfortable there.
Again, Jon wont go up though. He has everything to lose and not a lot to gain. Maybe he could get the belt but in the end he is to undersized to be up there.
Daniel may be a bit on the fat side but his frame is built like a barrel which makes a big difference.

  6. I don't want to see it again, DC had 2 chances already, some don't even get that many. Fight Lesnar if you really want to, then fight a legit challenger at HW. And that is Stipe.
