DC vs Jon Jones 3 is not about legacy, it’s about our selfish desire to see it again…

Daniel Cormier has stated that he had two fights left in his career before defending his belt against Derrick Lewis. at UFC 230. If we take him at his word it means he has one fight left. Chael Sonnen gives his thoughts on how DC finished his career on his You’re Welcome podcast.

  1. I want DC to fight Jon Jones because I do believe DC's legacy is tainted from it. Because as it stands, we don't know who's the better fighter. We've seen that JJ is the better fighter when juiced. But that's not a fair fight. DC should not chicken out of this fight he should push for it to prove that he IS the Champion that he claims to be.

  2. If DC fights Lesner I’d like the ufc to relax the juicing up rules. Let’s just give this one a pass and let them come in juiced up to the gills. Cos quite frankly an unjuiced up Lesner is just not a match for DC.

  3. Chael I agree with you on most things but not this. Yes DC has done more than enough to cement his legacy as one of the best to ever do it, BUT I think for DC to be considered the greatest of all time, he absolutely needs to fight and beat Jon Jones

  4. Part of his legacy is losing to Jon Jones 2 times and never being able to beat him.

  5. Honestly I’m done with DC vs JONES, Cormier is a great fighter but we all know that Jon Jones is the only man that can beat DC and he always will be ! We saw it once and twice and honestly a 3rd time will just destroy DC’s legacy and he will kill himself, I actually love DC and I love him enough not to see him lose again.

  6. Anyone who says DC isn’t great just because he lost to Jones or bring up Jones on any post about DC are the most uneducated, ignorant, and obnoxious people in MMA.

  7. Cormier is taking easy on his final lap, derrick lewis, brock, I don't blame the guy but if you are a competitor and you want to be considered the greatest to ever do it you fight jon jones..but if he loses 3 times to the same guy does it really make a difference from losing twice? He is playing with house money, jon isn't. Dc has to take the fight. Jon knows he already won the battle. You can't keep giving a guy like dc all the chances in the world to beat you, because he can and eventually will.

  8. I believe he is going to retire at 40 years of age but even turning 40 it's a long year! Look! He just defended both titles! History baby! He wants to go out on a good note believe that! Jones could f*** that up right! Now why even take that chance? DC has said it himself the competitor in him will always want the Jones fight but….. DC his legacy is already cemented. Will go down as one of the greats and he is and he will and he will let Jones The Anthony Smiths and everyone else figure out the rest he's going out on top period!
