14-Year-Old Girl Punched by Police – Excessive or Not?

The gap between what police departments deem “necessary use of force” and what the public perceives as “acceptable use of force” has never been so big. In an attempt to close the gap, Ryron and Rener analyze the video that recently surfaced of a Florida incident where a young teenage girl resisted arrest and punched multiple times by police officer.

  1. I think all police officers should have to wrestle for at least 4 hours a week and do BJJ for at least 1 hour

Wrestling teaches them to stay on top and control which is really all cops need even if the officer gets into an actual fight, but the BJJ teaches them to choke and defend chokes or transition into joint locks if the opponent proves too much of an advantage over the officer

The officer should never have to strike. Ever

  2. Cops must make quick assessments and judgements missed by the community. The community makes judgements based on values.

  3. let me break it down even simpler….. forget the perceived gap in response actions….. those two adults are supposed to be professionals….. and yet, they look like cowardly pieces-of-shit….. that is not the result of a gap in perception….. that is the result of a culture of violence and little/no accountability….. they did that in broad daylight, right out in the open

  4. What more can we ask? We gotta thank the police for not outright shooting the girl these days, getting punched is already the best you could hope for.

  5. Police did the right thing. Next time that whale Will behave in the proper way.

  6. I think those cop did nothing wrong but I think they should learn this it could help them big time

  7. It seems logical after watching this video that the solution is the public approach the police departments and demand certain training to take place through representatives if necessary.
