UFC on ESPN Pacing Is So Great

One thing is clear: the UFC broadcast pacing on ESPN and ESPN+ is a categorical improvement over FS1’s treatment. In both UFC Brooklyn and UFC Fortaleza, UFC and ESPN trimmed a lot of broadcast fat for their streaming product, making for a much more enjoyable fan experience. I didn’t realize how much of a tax FS1’s television pacing was, but this new development has made me reconsider how big of a problem it all turned out to be.

  1. That title is infuriatingly redundant, all reliefs are welcome . Jesus Luke, I think you have brain worms.

  2. Totally agree! No more endless monotonous wasted time boring you to sleepiness & leading to the inevitable 'well the main event won't be until midnight or later & I'm tired' so I'll just catch a rerun later!

  3. Awesome pacing keeps three action flowing and get back some of my Saturdays πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

  4. Luke should try being a ufc fan outside of the usa. I'm from the UK and the normal time for a main card to start here is 3am. And still i never miss a single one. So the delay between fights on the old fs1 setup wasn't even a thought for me. Although I agree it's a much smoother way of running it.

  5. I found myself laughing at Luke's enthusiasm in this video because I felt him 100%. Goodbye forever, FS1. We don't miss you.

  6. I love how it's paced as well but also there were a ton of finishes in the main card. With 5 of the 6 fights e ding in the first round or only seconds into the second. But it's dope that it starts at 8 instead of 10

  7. Americans complaining about the fights running until 1am meanwhile here in Europe we're hyped now ESPN has main cards starting at 1am..
