it’s not “australia”, it’s victoria – melbourne, specifically. ufc does cards in other states and cities in australia and none of them are half as cool as victoria. it’s really weird, but melbourne is very much into the “art” of mixed martial arts, so even hippy-metalhead-types like myself watch it. my high school had tae kwon do classes twice a week which apparently is strange (and i took them as well as proper out of school sessions for years). and if you need an actor to play thor or ragnar you have to get a victorian. there’s something in the air and soil here.
