  1. I'd forgotten about this video with Richard Carpenter, and now watching it again I see signs that he was not in the best of health. RIP Richard, you were a great musician, car nut and all around great guy, and you will be missed and remembered.

  2. Maybe the most attractive car ever!! I loved it in 1970… and still do. Wish I could afford it now… or then!!!!

  3. I had a '70 440 6 Pack 'cuda. Mine was Alpine white with a shaker hood, 4 speed, and Dana 60 rear. I bought in the mid 80's from the original owner for all of $3000. At least I could drive such a car when I was only 20, was thin, and could use it to get girls. Nowadays these all belong to rich guys with grey hair and big bellies (no offense, Jay).

  4. What gets me is that he had to lean down and look for the hood latch. How long can you have owned and driven such a car if you don't even remember where the hood latch is? It's like being married and not knowing the color of your wife's… I should leave it at that.

  5. As knowledgable as Jay is, I'm shocked he wasn't aware of 6 pack versions of these cars. 440 powered cars were actually better than the Hemi ones, but they didn't carry the same mystique.

  6. When people have such passion for anything, it's contagious! Again, a very interesting story.
