Kelvin Gastelum: It was ‘devastating’ to not fight Robert Whittaker

UFC middleweight Kelvin Gastelum joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to describe the empty feeling of not getting to fight Robert Whittaker in the main event of UFC 234. He says he started crying when he got the news the morning of the fight after Whittaker pulled out due to a collapsed bowel and hernia. Gastelum says Israel Adesanya’s win over Anderson Silva was a bunch of “theatrics” and he wasn’t impressed.

Gastelum also says there was no fight was offered to him last second as a replacement and does not believe he will be paid in full. He expresses his desire to fight Adesanya for the interim middleweight title at some point in the near future.

  1. Kelvin said he might not even be compensated fully and Dana said he doesn't know who'll get the next title shot. I hate Kelvin cringe act but he has to do something or he's screw on this big opportunity that wasn't his fault.

  2. I used to like Kevin but now he just smells like dogshit and there’s worms in his neck. How can you compete when you have worms in your neck ?!?!??!

  3. Congratulations to Kelvin on becoming the new reigning defending undisputed middleweight champion of the world!!

  4. Dude get real you don't have a belt uncle Dana said that you don't have a belt until you fight rob…
