Love the Silver Fox! I wonder though, with submission grappling becoming such a sport, if we are going to lose the complete self-defensive aspect. As submission grappling garners Olympic attention this year, dojos will concede to pull guard and leg lockĀ and eventually root out the basics of the standard positions throughout their curriculumĀ from young to old. Once at the Olympic level, you work on what wins. I know Judo and Wrestling went this way. It's why dojo and coaches don't teach illegal or non-competitive techniques, they concentrate on what wins for national attention. — double edge sword.

Anyways, how old is Zahabi? Was Zahabi like 16yo when he opened Tristar? I remember being a teenager in the early 1990s and Tristar was already popular with the Russians at that time. How old are you Zahabi?
