  1. The OHC6 was a “Cosworth Design”? I assume he’s thinking of later engine programs like the Cosworth Vega?

  2. The comment regarding how Carroll Shelby got around a “big cube in a small car” edict with the GT350………
    First, this was corporate policy at GM, maybe not so formal at Ford?
    But more importantly……the GT350 was still 289ci, a “small” motor at 306hp……350 did not mean engine size
    The historical reference to “350” was the difference in feet between Shelby buildings (a storytelling for another time)

  3. In the back corner of my shop is a 389 out of a wrecked GTO with 20,000 original miles.
    I bought it in the early 80's for $100 😎

  4. A friend of mine bought a yellow one (convertable) brand new in '64. It had no seat belts and was scary fast.

  5. The LeMans and Tempests had a V8 version as well. The Grand Prix was also a very fast car.
