Tyron Woodley vs. Kamaru Usman Could Be Historic For Another Reason | Luke Thomas

Tyron Woodley will be facing Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 (not Colby Covington!) and there’s something worth considering when taking into consideration both the fight and the challenge ahead of Woodley. First, the fight could have stalemates at various point and second, those stalemates – and the ones he’s previously had in other fights – are a function of the fact that no other welterweight champion has had to face elite fighters this uniquely and consecutively as difficult as Woodley.

Georges St-Pierre is still the best welterweight of all time, but no three or four stretch of opponents are as unique from the previous opponents at the championship level as what Woodley has had to face.

  1. This is Covington's fight for one. Two, Woodley gonna smash on Usman.

  2. Your intro is way to loud!!!!
    Everytime man!
(First few secs of every vid)

  3. Jesus this guy says some stupid shit. GSP didn't fight " specialists" because 90% of his opponents were "specialists" in everything. They weren't 1 trick ponys. Not sure how this is even a point relevant to anything. Luke Thomas proving yet again what an inept fool he is when it comes to combat sports…

  4. Gsp's last 5 opponents were more skilled and diverse than woodley 's , shields ( who beat maia and woodley ) , condit , Diaz , hendricks and Bisping ! Woodley beat a bunch of one dimensional fighters but lost to a well rounded Rory who is a lesser version of gsp !

  5. Lets be honest usman hands are complete trash, we talking about championship level, he just not there, he will probably get knocked down coming in just like Darren Till. If not its going to be a 5 round snooze fest.

  6. robbie lawler is a brawler and got knocked out in 1.
stephen thompson is a tactical karate fighter beat him twice
maia has ruthless jiu jistu ant stuffed every take down
Till is a massive guy with a lot of power and beat him in the second.
tyron is one of my most well rounded fighters in the game.
