On this edition of the Monday Morning Analyst, Luke Thomas breaks down the upcoming champion vs. champion superfight between Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw that’s set to headline UFC Brooklyn.

  1. I don’t see Cejudo standing a chance. I feel TJ will be even faster and will get out of any takedowns

I believe Henry, who is a great fighter and uses the karate stance has a bad habit of flinching backward and dropping his hands right before he shoots, instead of striking, which you are supposed to do in that stance. TJ will go to an open stance and throw the high head kick, catching him solidly. I think everybody is concentrated on TJ's hands because of his last fight, but it is the timing off that caperioa style kick that has set up many opponents downfalls. Henry needs to not shoot, and use his footwork and head movement to go into TJ, not away, wrestle him down with inside sweep, and pound a bit to win rounds. However, I don't believe Henry's footwork and head movement is good enough to compete with TJ's angles and awkward style. It's going to come down to bad habits, and Henry has a bit more bad habits.
