Mean Gene Okerlund RIP – Jim Ross Commentary


Eugene Arthur Okerlund (December 19, 1942 – January 2, 2019),[3] better known by his ring name “Mean” Gene Okerlund, was an American professional wrestling interviewer, announcer and wrestler. He was best known for his work in the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling. Gene was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 by Hulk Hogan. He was eventually signed to a lifetime contract with WWE and worked for promotional programs, mostly WWE Network programming and, occasionally, the TV series.

  6. let me tell you something Gene …. love you man Rest in peace hope you are doing interviews in that great arena in the sky cutting promos with Randy Savage Curt Henning Rowdy Roddy Piper Nikolai volkoff and many many more of the great wrestlers that have passed on to that great beyond him sitting down and doing commentary with Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby The Brain Heenan I could just imagine the new matches they would have up there in heaven with the Ultimate Warrior and Andre the Giant and Dino Bravo and Sano Martino and all the other good wrestlers that have passed on with Joey Marella officiating a lot of the matches what a great day that will be in heaven when we all meet again rest in peace Mean Gene my friend rest in peace
