4. The reason for why TBI may cause for this violence may be due to the damage to the frontal regions as it has been found to control for behaviour and general planning. There are quite a few different cases of that if I remember correctly, from old cases like Phineas Gage to the ice pick lobotomies which I believe had a large amount of patients who showed extreme aggressive emotions if I am not mistaken. However, the actual function of the frontal region is not actually fully understood because the symptoms that are expressed with frontal lobe damage are very generic (goes from difficulty in planning for future events to showing extreme swings in mood) meaning it is not really known exactly which are of the frontal lobe controls behaviour.
