As part of his Year in Review for 2018, Solomonster looks at the rise of women in WWE like Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch and why the ladies (some of them, anyway) have been the highlight of WWE television for the last few months.

  1. i never liked forced feminism ! At first , the women's evolution felt really forced and inorganic . But by the end of the year, the women won me over organically ! Of course , there are bums like nia Jax and tamina ( even the men's roster has bums though) but ronda , becky , charlotte feel like a big deal. They always deliver solid main events. the women's royal rumble and all women ppv's were great ! the women's revolution this year had more goods than bads.

  2. Becky was always gonna get her moment, she stayed consistently over with the fans it was only a matter of time. I'm very impressed by Ronda Rousey, she could've been the next forced star to be shoved down our throats, but she has also been consistent in the company, hopefully it gets better from here

  4. Well said. Could not have said it better. Who cares if the match is "rehearsed". Long as the match was good should be all that matters. There are plenty of other times where matches were mapped out or "rehearsed" and the resulting match did not turn out so good. You still have to go out and execute. Rousey is just a tremendous athlete. Ronda has only been an active for wrestler for about 10 months now, under a year. That is incredible that Ronda is this good this early. I have been impressed by all of Ronda's matches this year. In fact one of my favorite matches this year was the Ronda VS Charlotte matchup at Survivor Series. Don't care that it ended in a DQ. That match was so physical and competitive. It was damn near the female equivalent of a strong style match. Just two athletes competing in a heated contest. I loved it even more than Becky and Charlotte's match at Evolution. Becky Lynch is the character of the year. Becky has what you would call the "Juice" or "It Factor" about her.

    And the sad thing is, the Smarkbusters do nothing but mock, belittle and treat their fans with disrespect these days so as will as being idiotic, the Smarkbusters fanboys are weak and pathetic.

Becky's Edgy tween turn has been my favorite part of the main roster since it happened Rollins and Styles have been highlights for me but she has consistently entertaining on tv and Twitter I'm always looking forward to see what she says or does next.I'm glad she's getting this push I've always been a Becky fan and she's been a great worker fun character and a genuinely likeable person so good for her I hope she does get that Mania main event against Ronda.
