Sir Roger Penrose OM FRS is an English mathematical physicist, mathematician and philosopher of science. He is Emeritus Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics in the University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College, Oxford.

  1. Maybe we are like a more integrated version of a jellyfish i.e. it's known that jellyfish are made up of many organism's working together to form a functioning whole. That suggests to me that every organism that makes up a jellyfish has it's own consciousness. I guess this happened to increase the individual organisms chances of survival. Maybe we are a more advanced version of the same arrangement and every one of our cells has it's own consciousness and maybe, what we regard as our own consciousness, comes from a single cell and the apparatus on top (i.e. our brain) let's us have thoughts and store memories but it isn't required for consciousness itself to exist. Maybe this single cell that contains our consciousness has died and has been recreated over and over and over like every other cell during our life; Each new cell inheriting access to the thoughts/memories that the old cells consciously perceived while they were alive. Hence our 'true self' maybe just be a single cell and what we think happened to us …. actually never happened to us, we just have access to those memories. :O

  6. My MOST favorite JRE shows to watch are about consciousness. Wish he'd do more. Do you have ANY IDEA how important it is to us who believe in Sacred Geomentary to hear that microtubules are arranged in a Fibonacci sequence? The Fibonacci Sequence is SO important to ALL OF EVERYTHING, SO TO SPEAK, down to the littlest simple form, for example in a biology body, in all plants and sea creatures to rocks and shells to everything in space! Fn forms a sequence, called the Fibonacci sequence, such that each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, starting from 0 and 1. This is the Golden Ratio, in my mind, its God's way to show he exists, or the coding of nature for the atheist type. Because the Golden ration even exists is a miracle and the fact its found in everything, everywhere is a sign from the divine! For those reading this that think im crazy, watch the Scared Geometry video from the Youtube channel called Spirit Science. Or just research Sacred Geomentary in general, but Spirit Science explains it very well.
