  1. Stone cold Steve Austin vs Jeff Jarrett would been a great feud if Jeff never went back to wcw, problem is Steve Austin was the face of the attitude era and the top guy,the only thing that got Jeff Jarrett over is smashing guitars over people's head and having Debra McMichael as his manager with her puppies.

  2. jeff jarrett was so far below austin it's not even funny. even at his peak austin was fucking light years ahead of him. now i'll give good ol' jj some credit. i did enjoy a bit of his stuff here and there, but there's no way he could touch austin. so for austin to work with him i think it would've been a HUGE step down.

  3. The fact that he is a ten time world champion is crazy….Double J wasn't that good. What? Maybe upper mid card at most. 3/10 wrestler…I think I'm being too nice here.

  4. Jarrett as WCW champion was the final nail in the coffin for me. Dude is nowhere near a Hogan, Austin, Rock level. I know Hogan gets a lot of flack but I will always agree with him not jobbing for Jarrett.

  5. I tend to side with Austin on this. First, Jarrett-Austin doesn’t really make me wanna spend money, even when Jarrett peaked winning the WCW title. Austin was Austin. It would be like taking Miz seriously in a feud with The Rock: you just can’t. Second, Jarrett should have talked to Austin before he cut that promo on Austin’s merchandise. That’s just proper etiquette. It wasn’t even that memorable of a promo but it was still a promo and consulting someone before you take a shot at their gimmick and potentially endanger their merch sales is the right thing to do. Jarrett didn’t do that, and Austin felt disrespected. Hence, he made Jarrett pay for it.
