UFC and Sage Northcutt Splitting Isn’t All Bad News | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

UFC President Dana White said Sage Northcutt was let go from the organization on a recent episode of the Unfiltered Podcast. Whether that characterization is true, Northcutt is certainly moving on, likely to ONE Championship. For a fighter only 21 years of age with a 6-2 record, this is a curious and not all great development. However, as I argue in this video, there is some bright side to this worth examining.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. Lobov with such a shitty record is still in the organisation but one of probably most promising young prospects somehow is not worth their time

  2. the bottom line is that he has not attracted the demographic they hoped for. He has less social media followers than Shayna Baszler. He does not put enough butts in seats than his salary request would justify

  3. I'm not sure why they let this kid go
His beginning wasn't as bad as the hype was, initially
but he's been showing off his potential
He's also been clearly working on his ground game
He's really good now and I can see him being a champion in few years

If anything, they need to REALLY let Paige Vanzant go
There are hot girls who can fight significantly better also if that's what they want
She's just not a UFC level fighter
She really should just be a IG girl

  4. Dana is the one directly responsible for Sage being “overhyped.” Sage has conducted himself like a true professional during his time in the UFC. I personally wish him nothing but the best.
