Tito Ortiz talks knocking out Chuck Liddell, retiring again | Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show


Fresh off his knockout of Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz calls in to Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to discuss the build up to the fight and his reaction to the outcome of the fight. (2:09) Ortiz expresses why he feels like he is not getting enough respect after knocking out Liddell and how he proved he can still fight. (3:36) Tito explains if Liddell looked and fought the same, saying the he looked like the same old Chuck, but noticed he was slower during the fight. Ortiz also explains that sparring with younger fighters helped him leading up to the knockout win. (5:39) After the fight was over, Ortiz says that he felt “vicious” and like an “animal” and reacts to the commission trying to stop his celebration that he usually does, says there was “no one stopping me that night.” (8:28) Tito expresses if he feels bad for “The Iceman” after the fight and says that if he wants to continue to fight, he should take a “tune up” fight. (10:28) Ortiz explains why he is retiring from MMA again, saying his in against Chuck was “definitively” his last fight and that he has no reason to fight anyone else. (12:12) Tito expresses his thoughts on the future of Golden Boy MMA, how he expects the promotion to stick around and why he wants to help them makes decisions.

  6. One thing no one talks About. The smile on chuck's face. You can tell he was happy to be back. Yes he lost but that smile he gave us said it all for me. Thank you to both fighters
