Jon Jones and Sobriety | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones spoke to ESPN about his attempts at sobriety. In short, Jones says he is not sober, but has dialed back his partying. The question is: should he be completely sober? As a media member, I have a hard time telling a fighter how to live their private life. For now, I say we lay off on this issue. However, as my producer noted, given his history, this is not necessarily the best kind of risk management possible. Ahead of his return to fighting against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232, what’s the right answer? My producer and I debate.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  3. Dear Bones, how could you provide info about cheating if you weren’t aware of your own cheating?

  4. Seriously Luke is the GOAT. Great unbiased content always. I usually agree with most of his opinions.

  5. I watched both and Jon was complaining that he actually got asked tough questions. Ariel was so soft on him I think.

  6. Everyone should be sober but you’re right you have to want it. Thing is once you value it you’ll want it more. It should be a goal for anyone trying to achieve and be better. The genuine joys in life are better than any buzz a substance can give you with none of the side effects.

  7. At least Jones is embracing his true side and not the bullshit religious crap of him, however we all know he's a liar and fake

  8. Luke is addicted to getting high from nasal spray. How can he debate jon Jones sobriety?
