John Mayer Has a Sing-Off While Eating Spicy Wings | Hot Ones

John Mayer is a platinum-selling singer-songwriter with seven Grammys on the mantle and a preternatural ability to shred the guitar, but how is he with hot food? Find out as Mayer goes toe to toe with the wings of death, tackling anything and everything along the way: Justin Bieber’s melody wizardry, the best guitar faces in history, his obsession with Visvim, living in Montana, the musicality of Dave Chappelle’s comedy, and so much more. And, because this is the grand finale of season 5, there’s a very special surprise at the end of the episode to send all you spicelords off into the sunset. Stay tuned for more on Season 6, as well as some other exciting Hot Ones announcements coming soon.

  1. I fucking love this man. A lot of people think other wise but the further/more I get, the more I like. Love him.

  2. A musician's insight to chile peppers…very interesting metaphor.
I would actually agree with him about the different types of hit from the heat. Throat really is like bass, and for me, while too much bass in music can just give me a headache, I don't much mind throat-burn hits from heat. I'm not quite as big with the lip heat, honestly, but if the flavor behind it is good…

Going off the grid with a 135k unit sauce though…but yeah, hot sauces with bad flavor behind the heat are absolutely horrid. Frank's Red Hot coming to mind. And with the mad dog, there comes the insidiousness of the ghost. The creeper, it doesn't bite immediately, but that bite is all the rougher for its stalking pounce…

  3. YES THAT JUST EXPLAINED IT
    Kids used to speak
But more older people are listening and judging
I just hope we get to the point where we don't judge and i mean us 20+ year olds not becoming the judgmental older people
We're already like that liking down on the fortnight dances and their favourite shows etc
