  1. I have an issue. Is it not ok to compare a tv set to that HOPF file? Where we have three dimensional lights put together to display a 2 dimensional picture that represents a 3 dimensional world? The only difference being we're aren't small enough to see the inner workings of the pixels.

  4. Interesting to explain the "Principle of Explosion" Weinstien mentions. The proof is interesting. In logic, there is an "or" statement. However, unlike in spoken english, it is explicitly inclusive rather than exclusive. In english, if you say "either A or B", we mean one or the other. In classical logic, "either A or B" means one of, or both, of A and B are true. Another thing to note is that if A is true, then A or B is true, whatever B is, becuase if A then either A or B. With that in mind, here is the proof that every statement follows if one contradiction is true:

    1. I'm human (assumption)
    2. It is false that 'I'm human' (contradictory assumption taken as true for the argument.
    3. I'm human or the moon is a fish (follows from 1 being true)
    4. 'I'm human' is false (follows from 2)
    5. So "i'm human or the moon is a fish" is true, but "i'm human" is false.
    6. So "i'm human or the moon is a fish" must be true in virtue of the moon being a fish.
    7. So the moon is a fish.

  6. Caught some of the live stream before turning in early yesterday. Finally able to view it in its entirety this morning, and have to say this was the most informative and intriguing JRE episode I’ve seen. Solid content and presentation. Though I’m still curious as to why it remained unavailable “processing” for so long. Makes me wonder if parts of it had to be re-reviewed and approved for mass digestion before it was released in its present form today.

  8. Jamie this upload is broken. Cant minimize screen or go into dark mode while playing. Its incredibly frustrating.
