Jay recently bought this brilliantly engineered, original and unrestored Lincoln Continental convertible from a woman who lived three miles away from him! Lincoln savant John Cashman walks us through the unique and complex systems that make up this perfect California cruiser!

My buddy had a '71 coupe. We took a set of railway tracks at 70mph on a gravel road and hardly felt it, we just floated over the tracks like a boat floating over a wave, it was such a smooth riding car. Road feel be dammed, I like a comfortable ride and that big Lincoln delivered just that.
I specialise in Lincoln something something
Incredible engineering. Thanks for sharing Jay.
8 to 11 mpg whoo… but… the american gallon is 3.78 litres… uk is 4.54. so it looks bad quoting US gallons.
GREEN ACRES IS THE THE PLACE TO BE ,OLIVERS AND LISAS CAR IN THE SHOW
its such a nice car but the engine bay could have been cleaned…damn shame
A $500 air conditioning option in 1966 was quite an expensive addition! According to estimates by the Bureau of the Census, Department of Commerce, the average (median) income of families in 1965 was $6,900. The 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible retailed for $6,380.
Very nice car. But I can't look at these and not be reminded of President Kennedy's assassination. I know, different year. But same car. Driving in an open car, for a President? A really bad idea.
John Cashman has been to my house twice to work on my 65 vert
More complex than the Edsel?
