The reason why Dave Meltzer doesn't have journalistic integrity is because he doesn't follow simple, ethical journalistic standards. Let's say Dave prints that there was a fight backstage with Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett – for example's sake. Dave should reach out to both men and try to get a quote about the situation – but he doesn't. Doing so would clear the air about what really happened. Instead of doing that, Dave prints the story as is without regard to its validity. Furthermore, he doesn't just report the news like a journalist – he throws his own opinion and narrative into everything. Let's say WWE draws 25,565 fans in a building that has a capacity of 32,000. Dave reports that, BUT adds "further proof that the Roman Reigns experiment isn't working." That last piece at the end of a factual news item blames the house not selling out on Roman Reigns. He doesn't know for sure, but he's assuming and telling you that it's fact.
Journalists just don't do these things. He's a guy who is being worked by people in the business and he's working all of you. It's all smoke and mirrors.
