83 Weeks #8- Clash of the Champions 23

Bill Watts is out and Eric Bischoff is in. Clash 23 was one of the first major shows on Eric’s watch so Conrad grills him about the state of the company. How did Eric apply for the job? What did it pay? Who did he interview with? What did he want to change? What could he change? Why was Jim Ross out?

How was his stunt with the radio station and exodus to the WWF handled? The guys also discuss Tully Blanchard not coming in, Paul Roma becoming a Horsemen, Shane Douglas leaving, Vader being in the hospital just days before this show, why WCW ran MSG in 1993, the Flair for the Gold set, how they got the Sylvester Stallone rub, and of course they break down a card that featured the return of Ric Flair! Eric pulls no punches in this one and as a result, this is Conrad’s favorite episode yet! Subscribe and tell your friends about 83 Weeks!

  1. Great, another asshole uploading other peoples videos WITHOUT their permission. Reporting your ass, bitch.

  2. Conrad took a dump in a stall at the arena in chicago during $ in the bank. Didnt flush. And let 1 rip that echoed with a thunderous sound. That boy can stink up a bathroom like nobodys bizz

  3. Still gotta say R.I.P Vader. They should have put you in the Hall of Fame while you were still alive. You'll be missed.

  4. Im gonna vote against 99 and 2000 so that fat bastatd suck ass can be disappointed. I can't stand that guy

  5. Really really love this podcast. The chemistry between Conrad and Eric Bischoff is great and makes for a lot of comedic back and forth dialogue. Fascinating listening to Eric's recollections of the machinations behind the scenes in WCW.

  6. demolition man was the movie stallone was promoting in 93. judge dredd didn't come out until 95.

  7. the NWA strap was meaningless at this time as the WCW world title was considered the true world belt.. also, scorpio was tagging with bagwell and to give him a shot at NWA belt devalues that belt and 99% of the fans knew there was no way scorpio was winning that belt.
