83 Weeks #13: Hog Wild 1996

A motorcycle rally in tiny town in South Dakota with no building and oh yeah you can’t sell tickets—perfect spot for a PPV, right? Eric Bischoff thought so, but why? Head the story of how Hog Wild came to be and what the “end game” for the show really was for Turner. Get “into the weeds” about the business side of WCW in a way that’s never been discussed before! Plus the guys tackle the “rumor and innuendo” about the Harlem Heat at this event, why the name was changed, who was supposed to be in Beefcake’s spot, Heenan drinking before shows, who dressed Tony Schiavone, and what may have been “off” about Hulk Hogan that night.

  1. Wish there was a lower patreon option so people could at least vote. It's like everyone has their patreon accounts now so you almost have to pick your favorite. At least most have a $1-$5 amount. Don't need a ton of extras..even getting to vote for $1 a month would make money. I'd rather support 10 of my favorite channels a month than just 1 for $10..

  2. As a great Man once said you gotta beat the man to be the man Time to walk that aisle woooooo Podcast champion of the world Conrad with one of his partners EaZy E

  3. Absolutely love this podcast, between 83 weeks and Jim cornettes podcast I have an entire day of entertainment

  4. I love 83 Weeks, and I am a fan of Conrad and Eric. If I could offer some constructive criticism, though, the business stuff is only interesting to a point; when they go on too long without mentioning a wrestler or a wrestling match, it can get really boring, IMO.

  5. Great show just listened to why it ended with vince russo eric u need to meet him vince was great and u need to fight back

  6. hogan's heel matches were kinda like heel jerry Lawler, getting heat but in ways the fans can in no way respect, only without that intensity gear change that Lawler could give you once he had no choice but to fight.
