  1. Chael raided Chris-chan's closet. On a serious note, don't google Chris-chan — you've been warned.

  2. In boxing the main event is a Co promoter to the point where they kind of ARE the show. Not so in MMA, where the show is "UFC 240" where the event of the ufc putting on fights is the show you are paying for, not just the main event but some other fun fights too.

A forfeit clause would be a nightmare in a non-tournament format, you would never know who the "legitimate" best fighter in the world at a weight class ever was. It would be annoying. The nature of a fight may not change but the story line would be very hard to follow unless you convert to a tournament format which takes too long in MMA and as for one night tournaments, may be considered dangerous and not ideal to samction

  3. Kubrat Pulev pulled out with two weeks to go vs Anthony Joshua few months back this was PPV in UK

  4. Just a rando opinion, but I think the problem is the round length; the human body isn't really meant to last for 3-5 five minute rounds under the Unified Rules.

Doesn't seem like there's much that can be done about it, either. I would imagine a shorter round would result in more head injuries.

  5. In boxing Chael 90 percent of the time it's due to far left field issues. If a boxer is breathing they normally show up. The greatest example I've ever heard of this…..and it's a story almost no one knows …..Oscar had a bad sun burn going into the Javier Castillejo fight. He didn't want to cancel. The fight went all 12 rds. Had to be amazing torment. Every UFC fighter should know that story.

  6. If a guy cancels a signed fight, the other guy should be paid to go into the ring with a microphone to just trash talk him relentlessly and unanswered on the live PPV card for maybe 5-10 mins. Guy who cancels should get an L on their record as well. I think pulling out of fights would be very rare and entertaining at the same time, as well as boost the promotion of the fighter. Get to see his wild side, so to speak.
