Greg Hardy, the controversial former NFL All Pro, made his pro mixed martial arts (MMA) debut on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series against Austen Lane. Hardy won via TKO in the first round, so what can we say about his skill set? There’s a lot we don’t know, but some things do stand out. We discuss that on this episode of the Monday Morning Analyst with Luke Thomas.

  4. My problem with this is the same problem I have with the UFC giving him a shot.

    If he was someone had earned his way in I wouldn't like it but at least I would understand the guy was a fighter and this is what he does.

    But to do favors for this absolute scumbag? Two amateur fights and a shot to get into the UFC? And now one of the most prominent MMA analysts giving him shine? If a flawed 1-0 (now) HW had a mixed-bag KO in his first fight would you break him down with an analytical eye?

    Greg Hardy gets clicks. Just like Greg Hardy will sell tickets. Is that (or should it be) justification for giving him special treatment? I say absolutely not. It's your show, you can do with it what you please but I don't dig it.

  6. I'm here because it's Monday and the MMA Hour should be on. Not really a fan of Luke. It's a mystery to me that he could be a Marine, a power lifter, jiu jitsu practioner and a liberal hipster.

  8. Luke, yeah I definitely agree that Greg Hardy has to great potential. Lots of work to do as you said on his exits and stuff. His stance looks good, nice power too. Maybe He can redeem himself in MMA and people might even give him a pass on his previous negative actions. We’ll just have to see how well He’s received though first.

  9. I have no doubt that Luke just gave an analytical break down of a 57 sec fight better than anyone could ever do.😀😀 Luke and his Always impressive mma knowledge ….
