Ben Greenfield is a Coach, Author, Speaker, ex-Bodybuilder and Ironman Triathlete. In 2008 he was voted as the Personal Trainer of the Year by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and recognized as the top 100 Most Influential People in Health in 2013.

  1. I love that Shawn Baker's blood-work is terrible, as it should be. Ben didn't emphasize it enough, the dude is technically diabetic eating only meat. LOL.

  2. I found the same reverse sear method in a YouTube video. Perfect steak every time. Oven to 275, cook steak to 125, pull out and let it rise to 135, then sear on either side for 1.5 minutes. Joe throws it immediately into the pan and then lets it rise to 135. The thicker the steak, the better.

    If you've always had a problem trying to pan fry your steak on your cast iron but only get it perfect 20% of the time, get a probe thermometer and do the reverse sear.

  3. God why all the hate on Ben, the guy is insanely smart and knows an incredibly amount. He comes off a bit strange in this one, but his podcast is the best health and fitness out there as far as the people he interviews and his interview style. He has taught me an insane amount….
