  5. But mate in all honesty going all 5 rounds can have more value and that's based on cardio. Finishing a fight is decisive but the decision win is often a sign of a more even fight. It's tricky, strenght and pedigree of opponent matters too but this "finish him" mentality came about with the just bleed culture, which Dana actually played to.

  6. Chael there is a clear difference between Askrens wins and Khabibs wins, if you ignore that then to me that is a bigger problem.

  7. Here's how you fix it. 100 point system instead of 10pt… that'll allow for much more accurate judging. Then as a ranks maker, they assign a certain amount of weight to kos and subs in certain rounds and you assign it accordingly. A fighter will carry a stat similar to a video game and it'll adjust accordingly based on performances. At least then it'd be scientific. 10pt system is fucking archaic

  8. SO true. Popularity and hearsay does not equate to rankings. It really hurts me as a fan to see this off-hand approach

  10. I think alot of the whole finishing fight thing comes from fans not watching all fights and wanting to be able to judge quickly how good a fighter is. The hype of certain fighters revolve around there finishes at 185 for example adesana are costa are regarded as the best prospects but in reality their are multiple fighters in the ufc middleweight roster currently that have probably displayed a better skill set but don't get talked about as often because of a few less entertaining performances. Usman didn't get talked about till he had that knockout despite him having already beat killers. Watch out for ufc liverpool because I think two of the most underrated prospects are gonna get some recognition.
