George Lockhart: Max Holloway’s Weight Cut Actually ‘A Regular Cut’ | Luke Thomas

At UFC 223, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title. To get there, he’ll have to make weight. Helping Holloway and five other fighters on the card is George Lockhart, expert nutritionist. In this interview from my radio show, Lockhart says Holloway is much lower in weight than he originally believed making the cut for Saturday’s fight actually just routine. He also discusses not working with Nurmagomedov, Felice Herrig, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and more.

The Luke Thomas Show airs weekdays, 3 to 6pm ET, on SiriusXM RUSH, channel 93.

  1. I'm hoping Max can somehow pull this off. He is my favorite of all time and just showed how badass he really is.

  2. Lockhart isn't helping Nurmagomedov anymore?
Dude, I'm going to die laughing if he misses weight again. lol

  3. Lockhart said in another interview this weight cut is tied for the largest he's ever done. Now he says this is not even Max's largest cut.

  4. So Khabib decides to not use a nutritionist the week of the most important weight cut of his life? I'm not worried about Max at all, I'm worried about Khabib making weight..

  5. Crazy how much weight these dude's drop in such a short period of time.
