I have a similar problem DC who's said he's retiring @40? When he's 39 now is holding the 205lbs Belt hostage as he moves up to fight for the Heavyweight Title? Putting all the Top Contenders who've Earned their Positions like #1Alexander Gustafsson on hold? Now remember DC has a hard time making 205lbs so if he gains weight it's going to take that much longer to possibly come back& that depends on what happens in the HW fight?
All this BS started with Conor but we Need to return to the old ways Defend the Belt or Relinquish it! So the UFC should at least have a Interm Title (which I'm No fan of) but their doing it @170lbs & look at all the problems @155lbs? [LEARN FRIM HISTORY] Because it's unfair to all the Top Contenders in all Divisions specially since a Fighters career is short & a Title window is even smaller. & lastly this ties up another Belt the UFC can't use to Promote another Big Fight Etc.
