Max Holloway vs. Dustin Poirier at UFC 236 REACTION

According to a report from ESPN, Max Holloway will face Dustin Poirier at UFC 236 for the interim lightweight championship. This announcement has an enormous amount of implications. Is Holloway, the featherweight champion, going to stay at lightweight if he wins? What does this rematch say about both competitors now? What is going to happen to Tony Ferguson, who apparently declined the opportunity to fight Holloway? What should? What does this mean for the future of UFC interim titles? This is an exciting fight, but feels like a strange way for the UFC to conduct business.

  1. Why would Tony agree to this bs deal? An 11 fight win streak, already won the interim and never lost it in a fight, was stripped for an accidental injury yet Khabib keeps his title for deciding not to fight, and as Luke said after all that he won again vs Pettis. And as Like said the treatment of Tony shows that the interim means absolutely nothing if the UFC decides to do another fight. Being interim champ means nothing so regaining interim title also means nothing, and number 1 contender means nothing when it comes to Tony.

  2. Wouldn't make more sense to do Tony vs Conor for an interim title?

  3. Why people sleep on tonys 4D chess? Holloway/Poirier winner wont be ready in november.

  4. I commend you for this everybody thinks Tony Ferguson is scared of Holloway LMAO!! Tony signed up 4 different times to fight Khabib you think he scared of Holloway? people disrespecting Ferguson like he not on a 12 fight win streak in the hardest division..and he was already interim champ why be a two time champ its nothing might as well wait for Khabib

  5. Hey Luke,
The interim belt is obsolete when you have the real championship fight. Tony was supposed to fight for it but he got hurt. Then Al Stepped in to fight to the belt. Tony’s interim was rightfully deleted. Then Khabib defended his belt against McGregor.

What planet are you on to think Tony’s interim belt is still valid?? They didn’t do Tony wrong by any means.

Now Max fighting for the interim belt makes no sense.

  6. 2:38 unless you Brunson n Jacare…that shit was legitimately the same result/same fight years later.

  7. don't always agree but def agree on this one. Not doing Tony/Porier makes no sense to me (maybe he turned that down too?)
