Did UFC Stop Caring What We Think? | SiriusXM | Luke Thomas

Was 2018 the year the UFC and its president Dana White stopped caring what we think? According to an article by Ben Fowlkes at MMAJunkie, it just might be. From moving UFC 232 last minute to accommodate Jon Jones’s situation to placing domestic abuser Greg Hardy on the same card as domestic abuse victim Rachael Ostovich, UFC took both of those issues in stride despite blowback from fans or media or both. Was 2018 the year they stopped caring about criticism?

In this clip from my radio show, I give a couple of reasons why that might be true.

  1. They stopped caring since the sell. It went from putting good business to now have WME-IMG trying to make money at every turn since they bought something that was losing money from the start.

  2. I used to consume all mma news, then took a week off after Jon Jone's win in protest. But in the end the UFC doesn't need me and they know it

  3. Is Greg Hardy on the main card because he used to be football player that used to show his games. The bigger the name, the higher in the card you go.

  4. Luke, call it out. I know who you are talking about but say it for the people who honestly don’t know and then have a conversation about those people specifically. Just a suggestion but definitely deserves a conversation.
