Would be my favorite Mustang if Ford didn't restrict the BOSS 429 engine so badly from the factory. They came from the factory with a little tiny 735 cfm carb. The BOSS 302 came with a 780 cfm carb, which was huge for a 302 ci small block. Also the boss 9 came with very restrictive exhaust manifolds and smog equipment that wasn't even mandatory until 1972. I'm a Ford guy but C'mon man! During the muscle car era, Dodge/Plymouth, Pontiac, and Chevrolet we're all ahead of Ford in the Detroit factory horsepower race in that era, but Ford DEFINITELY makes the best trucks by far and it's not even close
69-70 Boss 302 is my favorite Mustang ever produced. They were the total package, not just a straight line muscle car …. Like the Chevy Z28 Camaro, Pontiac Trans Am, Dodge Challenger T/A, Plymouth AAR Cuda, AMC Javelin SST, and Mercury Cougar BOSS 302
